This is the first post of my adventures in NYC. Which means, my trip is officially over! I'm totally dragging these posts out as I don't want to leave it behind, so get ready for a few popping up over here in the next week.

We landed at around 7pm and all I wanted to do was explore! The weather was extremely mild so S and I had a little walk around the neighbourhood before grabbing a bite to eat and getting our heads down for an exciting few days ahead.

We woke up early to clear blue skies and the sound of the city getting ready for the day. Our first mission was to sort out the flowers for Sara's wedding the following day - I'd offered to act as her florist as the quotes she was getting were ridiculously high. Plus, it was a lovely way of personalising her wedding.

West 28th Street is home to what feels like a tropical oasis in the middle of NYC. Mainly open to trade only, the flower district is full of beautiful blooms, plants, shrubbery and all things green. We managed to work our British charm (with a little bit of pouting and hair swishing too) and got one of the traders to allow us to shop in their store. The place had so much to choose from and after a few hugs and happy tears, we left with a huge selection for me to play around with.

After rushing to a couple of other stores, we took the blooms back to my hotel, and jumped in a Taxi to meet the other girls for brunch.

When in New York, a visit to Jack's Wife Freda for eggs is a must.

Over their refreshing mint lemonade, and great food we ate and chatted. I ordered the green Shakshuka. This is one of my favourite brunches back home, and theirs did not disappoint.

As were the picture perfect Eggs Benni - just look at that Beet hollandaise!

We finished off with a round of Mimosa's to toast the bride-to-be

Then it was off to the spa for a soak, steam and scrub before getting ready for an evening of fun.

You can't have an NYC hen without emoji balloons!

After a few glasses of champagne and a some little surprises for the bride, we all hopped into cab's uptown to The Mark for dinner.

That's where it all got a bit blurry. But I can assure you, the food was gorgeous!

Day 2 of my NYC adventures will be up soon
xoxo
